| Mumford & Sons – The Cave Lyrics | 12 years ago |

At the beginning of the song its telling us that we all sin but we can walk away from it and get redemption and hope for a better life! We can use pain to learn from our mistakes. Tell the truth because it will set you free. You know your problems and sins you just have to fix them. "But I will hold on hope And I won't let you choke On the noose around your neck And I'll find strength in pain And I will change my ways I'll know my name as it's called again" God won't let you go to hell if you just change and stop sinning. |

This song is awesome! Basically, I believe, that love can never be bad only people can be selfish and sinful. By seeing "The beauty of love as it was made to be" you can truly be a happy person and not worry about regret or worry about how society wants you to be. |

Every song has a different meaning to everyone. Because of this song being vague it lets more of your own interpretation and meaning to it. (Which is awesome!) I think that you can look at this in an optimistic way or a pessimistic way. In an optimistic way, You can see the volcano bringing down the walls as a symbol for redemption of sin. "Oh where do we begin? The rubble or our sins?" This line can be taken as whether you choose to continue to sin or be redeemed. You do this by picking up the rubble of the fallen wall, by being saved from your sins. Or you can see it in a more pessimistic way where bringing down the walls is a symbol for discipline for your sins. |
