this song is a woman's drug addiction singing to her. it's from the point of view of meth. and her addiction is singing to her basically "it's a cold world, let me comfort you". "head in the clouds but my gravity's centered" means that being high makes her feel normal. the most obvious line is where lyricist actually uses "comin down" which is a drug term for when you are coming off of drugs. anyone that has had experince with drugs knows that coming down from meth makes you feel so lonely, so this is why she needs the comfort (the sweater) of more drugs. also, "she knows what i think about" is basically saying that the drug is the only thing that understands her. this could apply to any addiction though- drugs, attention even food. |
