| I think the song makes some sort of an allusion to the Greek mythology story about Daedalus and Icarus. The two are locked up in jail with each other, so Daedalus, Icarus' father makes wings which have feathers stuck to them with wax for the both of them so they can escape. Icarus flies too high and the wax melts and Icarus dies. Daedalus is left heartbroken at the loss of his son. | |
