ahh, this feels relatable... well, i think from the actual lyrics and the music video, i think like most of yall have said, the song is about trying to find security in other people to hide discomfort within oneself, for example in the line "I'm tired of feeling like I'm fuckin crazy". You can tell that she is very attached to the people around her because they are the family she never had, and she has trust issues with feeling that they are going to leave her, mainly when she says "Don't leave me now, don't say goodbye." She just rides to release all the bad memories and regrets. Lana is a goddess c:

I think this is just about a person (probably just personally coming from Jeremy/the band) who just feels put down for being who he is. I think it's just about not being afraid to stand up for yourself and that you should stand up for others and don't be a bully. My favorite quote from this song and one of my favorites from the album is " Cast your stones, cast your judgement, you don't make me who I am". He means that people may think things about you because they don't understand you or your values, but you know who you are and that can't be taken away from you c:

La Dispute – You and I In Unison Lyrics

While reading over the lyrics, I will say that I did shed tears... I think this song definitely is about loosing someone, with an emphasis on death. But more importantly, its about how impossible it is to escape the constant reminder of the him or her. How you can never really forget them. And I think after someone leaves us, at first we want to try and move on like nothing ever happened. But you can't merely let someone go, even after years and year. You're still reminded of them, especially in dreams like Dreyer says.... you kind of just remember someone gone in a dream, and when you wake up, you think everything's fine and the same again, but then it all comes back to haunt you, and you remember all the little things you were trying to forget. I think in the end, can't forget about the people you've loved and lost, but just try and preserve them. also, i think that the "story" (i find all la dispute songs to be both stories within themselves c:) is about the idea of communication with a lost loved. the girl that left him is trying to keep him from forgetting her, so she tries to be present in everything that he sees (sunlight, trees, etc. ) i think this is really relevant, i lost someone very important to me almost 3 years ago, but there are still times it kinda settles in that she's never coming back. it hurts to think about it, but i just try and think that maybe she's looking down and seeing me grow up. i cant bring her back but i can preserve her energy and her spirt. overall i love la dispute and their songs really get you thinking about life... thank you <3

Crystal Castles – Crimewave Lyrics

i think this song is just generally about loosing innocence and youth to the horror and gore in the world. the "nice breasts" and "like the summer" invoke purity like that of a young girl, who is transformed and drowned in the filth of life. gradually she becomes immune to the feeling of fear and craves the scum to make her life more exciting and worthwhile- "i want short breathes (she wants riskiness in her life) ", "into dark hard" (there is no turning back to her state of morality). i love this song, and somehow i feel this weird connection with my interpretation...i wouldnt really say i exactly relate but something deep down feels the darkness...well just my idea of the song.
