First lyric website that I've found, that have actually got these lyrics pretty much spot on! I've just spent all morning listening over & over to transcribe a more accurate translation than "other lyric sites" - Good Job songmeanings Macca has loads of stick recently after the jubilee & Olympics & many thought he should hang his guitar up for good, but by jolly he's nailed it with this song! Awesome video too! |

"Queenie-eye queenie-eye, who's got the ball, I haven't got it, it isn't in my pocket, O-U-T spells OUT!" These lyrics caught my attention right away the first time I heard the song .... It's an old (& probably now forgotten) playground ball game we used to play as a child (I grew up on the Wirral - nr Liverpool but I don't know if the game was specific to the North West) Watching "the making of" on You Tube, Sir Paul indeed confirms that this is where he got the lyrics from. :-) |
