Dear RS or OrganicSoleil, I can't tell you how moving it was to read your reply. Thank you So much for sharing that with me. Just as you said, it Is wonderful to know that someone thinks and feels as i do about this song. I hope you were able to enjoy your thanksgiving, my Dear friend died a year ago next Thursday, so Christmas for me is somewhat similar to Thanksgiving for you. Thank you again for the time you took to reply, it has really impacted me and I will Never forget it. I hope that you too have many more of your Little Wonders. |

This song has a very personal meaning to me. A dear friend of mine passed away in a car accident almost a year ago. She was the sweetest, most sincere, talented, and fun person I've ever met. I wanted to be just like her. After her funeral service, a slideshow/video of her was shown, with pictures of her growing up, living life, and doing what she loved most- figure skating and playing the violin. This song was played with the video. LET IT GO, LET IT ROLL RIGHT OFF YOUR SHOULDER, DON'T YOU KNOW, THE HARDEST PART IS OVER. Let the sadness go. whatever pain you are in, let it go. for me, it was to let my grief go, don't remember her and cry, remember her and smile. IN THE END, WE WILL ONLY JUST REMEMBER HOW IT FEELS. if we focus on the pain in our lives, that's all we'll get out of it. remember the good, if small, moments. OUR LIVES ARE MADE, IN THESE SMALL HOURS, THESE LITTLE WONDERS, THESE TWISTS AND TURNS OF FATE. TIME FALLS AWAY, BUT THESE SMALL HOURS, THESE LITTLE WONDERS, STILL REMAIN. If you've ever lost a loved one, you'll find you have thousands of small memories of moments you've spent with these people. sometimes these are just smiles or laughs, or moments of understanding, but it's what you remember the best after they're gone. these are the small wonders and hours of our lives. they may not seem like much in the grand scheme of things, but it's what matters in the end. as for the twists and turns of fate- life changes. always. and you can either fight it and fight it and fight it, or learn to roll with it and enjoy the ride as best as you can. LET IT SLIDE. LET YOUR TROUBLES FALL BEHIND YOU, LET IT SHINE, UNTIL YOU FEEL IT ALL AROUND YOU, AND I DON'T MIND, IF IT'S ME YOU NEED TO TURN TO, WE'LL GET BY, IT'S THE HEART THAT REALLY MATTERS IN THE END. this is about letting go of regrets. remember those good feelings of those good moments- let them surround you in warmth. forget yourself once in awhile- we are all facing trials, and sometimes the best help for yourself is to help others. two is stronger than one. and the last line- it's what's inside you that really matters in the end. ALL OF MY REGRET, WILL WASH AWAY SOMEHOW, BUT I CANNOT FORGET, THE WAY I FEEL RIGHT NOW. after my friend's death- i knew i'd never forget that pain i was feeling, but i also knew that i'd heal, and my regrets of not telling her how wonderful she was and how much i treasured her as a friend wouldn't bother me if i could forgive myself. That's My interpretation of this song. It's kinda personal, yes, but i hope you can see what i mean and understand. (i also hope you respect that this was hard to write, so don't be mean- we all have opinions, and not all of us agree) if this touched you at all, i'd love to know. thanks for reading! :) |
