I think this songs about being stupid and love. Some of the lyrics are a bit more cryptic, but it seems obvious from the beginning that the guy unexpectedly fell for a girl and it turned his whole world upside down. The chorus's mention of "sleeping/dreaming all day" makes me think of the whole obsession people go through when they're first in love, when it feels like nothing else matters and you just want to spend all your time with that person or sit around daydreaming about them. I'm not too sure about the "I got a little bit longer, I got a ways to go" but it sounds like some sort of positive message. Maybe it's to do with the fact that their love has made them all crazy and seemingly unproductive lol? Like they're fucking up their lives because of their obsessive love right now but they have time to fix that stuff later because they're young and for now it's fine to be overfocusing on each other and their new love affair. The one lyric I'm totally stuck on is the "even if I work it like I'm times two". I have no idea what that could possibly mean, is it referencing to being a couple? Also have to mention that the "Waiting for the day just to end so I see you" line is cute and this song totally makes me think of that initial stage of liking someone / falling in love with them. |
