Hey, I know you posted this almost a year ago but I wanted to chime in on the Hippo line. I've interpreted it as a reference to those with eating disorders. As for the crocodile part I'm not totally certain. That could potentially change the entire meaning or it could just be their to pad the metaphor. But I heard it as a sarcastic jab at one with an eating disorder, calling them fat but worded as a backhanded compliment. That topic definitely hasn't gone untouched by Xiu Xiu (Chocolate Makes You Happy being the first example to come to mind) so I wouldn't be too surprised if it's something along those lines. I could be wrong though! |
