I think this song is about an imaginary friend. There's a little girl who have one. He is a thirty-year-old man who's beautiful and intimidating, though he's caring and kind of sweet. He is always watching over her, and when she feels alone, she knows he's there for her. When she's bored, she can laugh with him for hours. She becomes a teenager. She feels sad, lonely and depressed. If she was alone, she would have let herself die long ago. But she keeps going to him.
