| @[Crell:1447] I think actually the 'drop the bomb, end this fight, never again' is rather clever. It refers to how righteous many of us are about war and such (never again) throughout peacetime, but the moment it's our lives that are threatened, we're immediately ready to 'drop the bomb' to 'end this fight', regardless of consequences to others. | |

I know this is probably way off (I only just heard the song today...), but the chorus, in particular, seems rather... well, not happy, per se, but encouraging. I see it as, the world can do everything it can to you, take away everything you have, and make you act like another person, but it can't take your mind, your thoughts, from you. This is mainly shown in 'never from this day/His will they'll take away', but the 'I dub thee unforgiven' part rather shows how, after this person has had their freedom taken from them, they're still enough themself to resent the person/people who did this to them, which shows hope that they might recover their life. |
