The song is about a man who sees both roads (right wing v. left wing I am guessing) as plausible, but bad on both side. The right, seems good first, but once you start to listen, you see the anger and hate they harbor. The left, just more of the same. Both sides condemn people based on what they believe, so he decides to climb a mountain to get away from both roads, and finds that both sides began attacking him. Basically, its about choosing sides, and how the right and left wings are so angry at each other they can't see a middle road. |

To me, he seems to be talking about an ex, probably the "first love bliss", and begging to go back to the day where nothing mattered. Before life hit him in the face, I guess. |
