Generally speaking, the song seems to be about someone who believes his riches and superfluous life would grant him happiness. He shows off his 'glamorous' life in front of his friends, but they're sick of that and they don't care about his money, they care that they lost a friend who now only focuses on nothing but. That friend of course cannot find happiness because he's going about the wrong way and he's losing his friends' interest in him. It could also not be about a person who only cares about money. It could be about someone who refuses to change. He has his bad qualities and his friends have kept up with them for so long and tried to point it out for him so he can improve, but he can't see to do so. His bad habits will be the destruction of his happiness. |
