After reading the title and then hearing the notes to this song, I started to tear up. I think this song is about a widow. I feel she is talking to her late husband. She compares her date to him. And she says "it's all because of you, that I'm through." Through with men, through with feeling... feeling alive. She sees him everywhere. She then comments that she would rather feel this way then not have known her true love. I love the line, " I'll always know how you were the one,to rip me from the ground." When you're in the ground your usually dead. So he made her feel alive! This song will be my favorite song for awhile, I'm sure. Beautiful. |
