In a way this song hits home to me for lots of reasons. This song reminds me of my best friend and soul mate who is a huge rock star. I met him in 2003 and I fell in love with him at first sight. Somehow. we have been extremely close friends ever since but in the 3 years we didn't see each other he got married and had kids. But when we seen each other for the first time in years it became more clear that me and him was meant to be but it wasn't our time. I know he loves me and he knows I love him and will do anything in this world for him. But I cant have him like he has me. I cant steal him like he stole me. He will never be mine but I will always cherish every moment I have ever spent with him. He is the man I will love until the day I die and when I see him this week I am going to tell him about this song. Its funny I find this song one day prior to him writing me and telling me he will be in town soon and wants to see me. I wish on everything things could be different for us but its not. I wish he wasnt a rock star and just a man I met on the streets. He is the love Ive always dreamed of. |
