Suspect Don Walker was reading 'Slaughterhouse Five'....has to be at least partly about the bombing of Dresden.

The 'deeper hum is in the air'....'Somewhere behind a siren wails'....

'Stone above measured stone, Old Dresden burns above the breeze...' and the Sledgwings dipping and playing have to be bombers. Or debris, being hurled upwards by the firestorm.

It's a minor-key masterpiece, this song: the sense of foreboding, the imagery of the lyrics, and its back from the days when Jimmy Barnes would sing, not screech.
