| I think it's just along the same lines as Atlas is. It's him dealing with the distance and sadness it creates while on tour. The sky is obviously the grey and the blue is the ocean. The two things separating him from the one he loves the most back home. Thats a pretty simplistic view to me of the song. It is a masterpiece both musically and lyrically. | |

This song can be summed up from this quote from Winston himself via Alt press "Use your head. Open your eyes. Think for yourself. That’s pretty much it. Western society has grown faster than anyone could have imagined, and yet we still have to evolve to a means of governance that rises above human greed and corruption. Changes need to be made, but we hold faith in systems that effectively remove the power from the masses." I am assuming when the lyric of "You tie your noose with your lies but the world keeps turning "Swing low" we cry but the world keeps turning Turning without you" He is talking about the metaphorical noose the system ties around all of our necks. Or it could be about the karma that is going to be coming for those in power using these selfish and corrupt means. |
