Adele – Take It All Lyrics 12 years ago
Adele’s determined love and selflessness inspires me. She feels her duty is to follow the desire of heart. This is described when she tells us, “Everything I do is for you.” She serves another with unfailing love. Her words; “Don’t look back at this crumbling fool,” reflect a sense of selfless restraint. She wishes her lover to continue life without the burden of having to care for her. Adele sees herself as her lover would a “crumbling fool”, a disappearing memory that wants to be forgotten forever, yet still she continues her duty of selfless love and everything she does is done for another. I think this attitude is something that the world should embrace as a guideline for living. By putting someone else before yourself you are reaching within and embracing humanity. This motive can be related to a character starring in “Les Miserables”, a movie directed by Tom Hooper. Eponine, a young woman who is in love with a young man, risks her life for the man she loves and saves his life by taking the bullet herself. His heart is with another woman and when Eponine dies he does not return the same affection and love that Eponine has bestowed upon him. Still her selfless love remained true. Adele’s determination to put another before herself has inspired me to adapt this attitude into my life.
