By "you guys" do you mean me? Because I would say that my response is much more on the mark, even without knowledge of the band that you have. What makes you so special that AIC didn't fool you by making you think the song is ONLY about heroin, and not that heroin is a guise to actually talk about something more grandiose? |

"World dies, I still pay taxes" - of course, the body dies, the cells still pay taxes. This kind of means that we dismiss the importance of our cells by thinking about them as one body, one person. We should be thinking of all of our cells as the individual organisms that they are, just like a good god would toward us. |

This song says that we are the gods of each and every one of our cells, just like we are the cells of god. It is true, we can tell a few of our cells to die, and they will listen, just like we can tell our cells to grow, and they will listen (Biology of Belief, by Bruce Lipton). We have the ability to literally be gods, but what are we?
The giveaway is using the play on words making God Am sound like goddamn. This is probably the most intelligent song I have ever heard, it brings tears to my eyes, Biology of Belief wasn't even released until 2005. Oh, by the way, did you know we can see the future? |
