Marianas Trench – Haven't Had Enough Lyrics 12 years ago
I definitely agree that this whole song is about giving their relationship another chance. Definitely a classic case of when a couple breaks up but love each other so much that they can't decide if they should stay together and try and work it out or break it off completely. Obviously, the protagonist does not want to give up because he still has feelings for her and he knows she has feelings for him somewhere in her heart.

At the beginning of the song:

"But I still want ya, want ya
Don't mean to taunt ya
If you leave now, I'll come back and haunt ya
You remember, we turn to center now"

He explains that he is fully aware that their relationship did not work out, but he still wants her cause he just loves her and he knows if she leaves, that the memories of him will make her regret her decision so it is best to return to their center of gravity, their relationship where they were comfortable...kind of.

"Well I just wish we could go back one more time and begin it,
Back before I lost myself somewhere, somewhere in it."

"I've been stuck now so long,
We just got the start wrong,
One more last try,
I'ma get the ending right,"

These completely make the whole song. I love that he is trying to explain to her that when they started their relationship it just started out bad, but if they could do it all over again and learn from their mistakes he knows their relationship could work out. He lost himself in the middle of their fights and arguments, but he has learned and he knows the ending will be different.

"You can't stop this, and I must insist,
That you haven't had enough,
You haven't had enough"

This is a classic case of when the guy is very adamant when a girl is ready to just cut the relationship out of her life. He clearly loves the relationship and her so much that he refuses to give it up. He insists that she hasn't had enough of him because he can't face the idea of her giving him up.

"Don't you need it? Don't you want this at all?
(testing, testing, I'm just suggesting)"

This is a desperate plea...i guess you could say...a desperate measure! (name of the album lol). He clearly needs this relationship in his life and he wants her to have the same feeling even though it kind of suggests that she doesn't since he is, at this point, begging for her to stay. He just wants her to test it out one more time because he is so absolutely sure that it will work out.

I, as well as many others, have had this feeling towards the end of a relationship and it sucks, but it surely is inevitable that one of you will give up. I get that losing a relationship is like having a hole in your stomach and you just want the feeling back, but eventually you will have to stop begging and move on.

A Rocket to the Moon – Annabelle Lyrics 12 years ago
I love this song, because it totally explains how you should not just want to be with a girl because of her pretty face. If all you focus on is that she is gorgeous, you won't realize how much of a bitch she could be. Pretty faces distract people from what is really important. People like Dakota (from their other song)! The other girl actually has substance to herself even if she doesn't have a pretty face. Whats important is that you won't feel like shit around the other girl who still remembers your name as compared to the hot girl who could care less about you and talks shit about you to her friends.

The Summer Set – Boomerang Lyrics 12 years ago
Damn, The Summer Set gets no love on this site lol.

Well this song is pretty damn obvious and not too hard to interpret either haha.

I just love how the protagonist compares his potential relationship with the girl to perfect couples in the world (Jay Z & Beyonce, James Dean & Audrey Hepburn, etc.)

This is why he just can't give up on this girl. He wants to convince this girl that they are perfect for each other because he must have felt they had a connection with each other. He is relentless and keeps trying and he is perfectly okay with that because he knows it is well worth it in the end.

The video fits the song perfectly. He meets the girl and there is an instant connection. Every girl in comparison is just horrible. The hostess who stops him from getting to her table represents the force that wants to make sure he stops trying, but he is relentless because he likes her that much. Finally, it is all worth it in the end.

Plain White T's – Rhythm of Love Lyrics 12 years ago
I am so surprised that people think this is about an affair...like really surprised lol.

If they're right then holy shit...i am bad at seeing the meaning of things lol.

What I see in the lyrics is that it is simply just their last night. Whether he or she is leaving, they are separating and it is up to them to enjoy their last night together.

"We may only have tonight
But till the morning sun, you're mine"

It is their last night and they are going to enjoy every second until the next day when they are forced to separate, but until then we are going to dance along to the rhythm of our love.

"And all your tears will subside
All your tears will dry"

She is crying because they have to go their separate ways, but I love this because he is being very mature about this whole thing. He explains that you won't be crying forever, things will get better, so lets enjoy the night.

"And long after I've gone
You'll still be humming along
And I will keep you in my mind"

No matter where I am, no matter how long I have been gone, keep humming the rhythm of our love just like what I will be doing. Whenever you have a shitty day, remember the last night we had together when we enjoyed our love.

Beautiful song.

The Cab – Bad Lyrics 12 years ago
I LOVE this song!

This song itself is so good, but so bad lol....that was cheesy as fuck.

I love it though cause the protagonist is just tired of being with a good girl and even though she is amazing and good for him, its not what he wants right now. He wants to go on his primal urge and just have fun with a girl. Do something unpredictable and live out his youth. He doesn't want to stay in all night and eat chinese food and watch a movie with the good girl. He wants to go have fun, party all night, and have sex with her all night. He wants YOUTH! He wants fun and vitality. He doesn't want to be an old man.

He is still young and is able to date these bad girls that he know will break his heart and he is totally okay with that.

Honestly, I totally get it. I was with a girl that just made me feel like we were a married old couple a year into our relationship. I'm 21 and as much as I loved her, I wanted to go out to a bar or do something crazy. I want to live out my youth while I still can before I have to sit on the couch without a choice.

Also...the music video is so heart breaking lol. Like seriously....it broke my heart haha

Yellowcard – Ocean Avenue Lyrics 12 years ago
There is so much symbolism and the music video and song lyrics work so well together to make sense of this song.

For one, this song is totally about the protagonists nostalgia about the past and how much he misses the person that he loved. They spent years together just talking all night long and then waking up to only talk more. They had an inseparable bond and he definitely loved that person.

I LOVE that the music video is a Groundhog Day themed video where he relives the same event until he finally gets it right. He is learning his lesson throughout the video. The first time when he is running, he just completely fucks up and ruins everything and then the two guys get him.

To me, the two guys personify his life and how much it brings him down. It is all of the unfortunate events and all of the bad things that happen to him and all he wants to do is chase down the old times he had with the person he had so much fun with.

"If I could find you now things would get better
We could leave this town and run forever
Let your waves crash down on me
And take me away, yeah yeah"

All he wants to do in the music video is to find the girl who he was with. She is the one who he believes will make everything better and make him forget about his shitty life. He believes when he finds her again, they can leave the town together (the town representing their shitty lives) and they could run away and start a better life just the two of them talking all night again like they used to.

The lamb suitcase in the music video is beautifully done. The lamb represents his innocence and when he thinks of the girl he thinks about his innocence and adolescence he spent with her when they were 16 & 18. She drove away with his innocence and he does not want to lose her or the memories he had with her.

"There's a piece of you that's here with me"

Definite reinforcement that the memories of her are always with him and whenever he just has a shitty day, he thinks about her and where he could be with her if he could find her.

I saw in the comments that he was talking about how he had to leave the girl after an amazing summer or something like that and i totally agree.

"I remember the look in your eyes
When I told you that this was goodbye
You were begging me not tonight
Not here, not now
We're looking up at the same night sky
We keep pretending the sun will not rise
We'll be together for one more night
Somewhere, somehow"

This was their last night together when he had to leave and they do not want to lose each other. This concept completely makes sense of the rest of the song in which all he wants to do is go back to that place and be back with her.

At the end of the video when he drives away with her, he finally found her after making all of the mistakes, but he finally got it right and as they leave the town and run away forever, they leave all of the bullshit in their lives (the two guys chasing them)

I hope I made sense, my thought process was kind of all over the place lol
