| Personally, I think this song is about bullying. She's saying that she was "James," and that what happened to "James" is actually what happened to her. She was different from the rest, and that she thought she had a friend. Then, 3 bullies one day came up to her and bullied her. They teased Kate and said that she had no friends. That's when she say her "friend". But her "friend" just walked away and she's writing the song to say that it's OK and that she knows that her "friend" was just caught in the crowd and probably regrets his/her decision. | |
