Thanks TWPotts for that interpretation. I agree with a lot of what you said. I had a slightly different take on a couple of parts. Where you stated "His plan is to 'build a wall.'" and "He succeeds in executing his plan, but his plan has an unintended consequence. In trying to isolate himself from Satan, he has also isolated himself from Christ, the light, who is 'the sun.'" This is where I envisioned something else. Yes, we do build walls to protect ourselves from the evils/temptations around us but in doing so we not only block them out (not necessarily Christ), but we block out everyone else. Not only do we "...need to be in the presence of Christ" we need to be Christ's presence here on Earth. We can't do that if we shelter ourselves away we our secret of salvation. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit... --Matthew 28:18-20 I also had a slightly different take on the first verse. I think the "Kings and Queens" Trevor's talking about are not in Heaven but here on Earth. It refers to the rulers here who are misguided and without Christ. "We were divided, we were the same And we were free, but we all wore chains". This refers to us being dived in our beliefs but the same in our disbelief. We tout ourselves as being free, free to sin, inadvertently we've all bound ourselves in Satan's chains. When later he states that "We can all be kings and queens" I believe he's referring to Heaven where in Revelation it states we (Christians) will all becomes rulers with Christ. Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years. --Revelation 20:6 Thank you for an amazing interpretation.
