This one of my favorite songs. I feel like it can be about love, how if two people can have a connection, but there are many obstacles in the way. That we hesitate, play games, scared of uncertainty, it begs the question. Why are we losing time, from something that can be great? Everyone go out there, find the one you love, and don't waste anymore time without them. |

I like this interpretation, this is exactly how I see it, being one who has thought of things this way. And all the cigarettes that I have never smoked, is like an analogy for suicide, as cigarettes are a form of long-term suicide plan. |

I feel like it's trying to express the idea that lovers do love like just like siblings. If you think about your relationships with a significant other, there is always that level of comfort that you feel with them as you would with a sibling. The Mother symbolizes that which is love, mother's unconditionally love and take care of their children. In the bigger picture of the world, love is our universal trait that holds people together, it gives us purpose and takes care of us. Love is the mother we all share. I usually like interpreting every song in relation to love, romance, relationships. |
