I believe this song is about vikings rejecting all the lies that religions have brought to their land and fighting instead of falling into the decay of apathy. For me I take a more Christian meaning from it. In Ephesians 6 the Bible is described as the Sword of the Spirit, Christians are to take this up and fight against the lies that satan produces; Laziness, Pornography,Self-Righteousness ...etc. All these things are 'gods' that promise a freedom, but are in fact chains that lead to death (Diseased and decayed, cherish their fate). |
