Arcade Fire – We Exist Lyrics 12 years ago
"They're down on their knees, begging us please, praying that we don't exist...."

I love this lyric. It says so much about the hypocrisy of organized religion in one simple line.

While the religious types get down on their knees and pray to their god which they are convinced exists, they also simultaneously get down on their knees and use their religion to pray and argue against equality for gay people - praying that 'we don't exist'. Pretty ironic, isn't it.

Arcade Fire – Reflektor Lyrics 12 years ago
It's a love song, 'Love in the Time of Facebook', and also a song about identity. It makes you ask the question "Who am I?" If you wanna know, just google it!

My favorite part of the video is when the 'mirror man' is holding up the primitive satellite dish made out of sticks, seemingly seeking some sort of signal from the 'heavens', to give him the answer. We all do this a hundred times a day.

I also love how Arcade Fire are a reflektion of the bands I listened to and loved growing up in the 80's, in the Suburbs: Bowie, Talking Heads, New Order, The Cure, etc. They make me feel like a kid again, a reflektion of my own youth.
