| To me this is clearly an unrequited love song. "I'm still learning to love. Just learning to crawl" implies to me the first love everybody has. One person loves the other so deeply, but it is not returned. That person would do anything, go anywhere, for the other and would gladly stay if the other just said something, But without a reason, the person has to give up and to move on. If I apply this to my own situation it's really clear. It could be cheating, but more generally it's about any relationship. See you lost your trust and you never should have, you never should have. This song is really personal to me. A girl I used to know used to listen to cover it a lot. From her perspective, it represented her extreme loneliness. She wanted love. She was waiting for that right one to come along. She had all these guys into her, but they weren't right. She was really hot. Tons of guys would hit on her. She could have just went with anyone, and slept around for comfort. But she was trying to do it right. She slept in her own bed alone every night. She was looking for that special someone. She needed love. That sweetheart. Sad ending is, she gave up. Decided sex is just fun. So she started getting really loose and just enjoying the sex. Ironically however she did find someone she really liked this way. |
