Disclosure – Help Me Lose My Mind Lyrics 11 years ago
It's 'you bring me something I can't define', not 'you believe in something I can't define'.

This song is incredible, it encapsulates that feeling when you meet someone new, someone different. 'You help me lose my mind' is what love should do; it shouldn't be something that makes you worry and scared, it should make you feel safe enough to surrender and lose yourself.
'Make me wonder what I felt before', you wonder how it was you ever thought you were in love when you feel this incredible.
The emphasis on the lines "I've been waiting' and 'How much longer?' give the continual impression that this person has been waiting for them all their life, the way most of us wait till we find the right one, or at least the one who makes us feel alive.

Wild Nothing – Live in Dreams Lyrics 11 years ago
A painfully honest love song many of us dreamers can relate to.

The real world can be too harsh a place to face, people leave, feelings will fade, time goes on- the man realises 'I'd rather live in dreams and I'd rather die' , although an unreal approach, living in dreams is the preferable and beautiful option, after all, 'our lips wont last forever', and painful fact is all the singer needs as justification for wanting to simply live in dreams.

This could very easily be the song of someone suffering with depression, still a love song about a girl, life and love but 'Are you dead like me?' , 'Im dying just to let things go' and 'Pretty face would you make the jump with me'. I'm not trying to put a sad label on the song as its one of my favourites and I think its beautiful but i think its clear the singer has been through some difficult times in his life.

'We've got eyes on the back of our heads'. Always looking to the past, never the future- living in dreams.

Bon Iver – A Song for a Lover of Long Ago Lyrics 11 years ago
this really is powerful
This is about forgetting the one you never wanted to forget, and the limbo between being with them and finding someone else, where you try in vain to 'bury' them, but a bad night will always bring you back to clutching something they once gave you, in your 'shaking hands'

'every place I am'- you're burying them within you, they're under your skin.

Bon Iver – Love More (Sharon Van Etten cover) Lyrics 12 years ago
this song is the aftermath (life?) many of us share. Your first love, the one which so beautifully bores into your soul leaving you with your head forever glancing over your shoulder.
'Chained to the wall of our room'- you are forever in the world you once shared with them, unable to leave
'You were high when I was doomed'- because there is always the light person and the dark in the relationship in the sense that while one of you watches them shine with disbelief and awe, the other will slowly fade away from view, leaving the other in darkness once again
'I was younger then, I had nothing to spend my time on but you'- the consuming feeling of young love in a world where nothing else matters while you see the world through rose coloured lenses for a little while
'you made me love more' - after the initial first love, you search high and low for the same feeling, clinging on to any piece of a reminder of them you see in others, and falling for people as easy as anything in a sort of desperate search

a bittersweet echo which i will never forget.
