| Limp Bizkit – Killer In You Lyrics | 12 years ago |

Sounds like the vocalist is lashing out at critical and percistent listeners to his art. Its working from the stance of "You wouldn't say that to my face, jealous punk".. ..but upon closer studying.. it seems like the lyrics are about " are you man enough to defend your home against seemingly tireless nighttime burglers. Fred uses language and symbols to paint the image of an unstoppable dark force that is coming to assualt and take over you home at night. "What the f**k you gonna do about that What the f**k you gonna do about that When the killer showin' up with a Gat You gonna have to grab your ass a baseball bat Remind this motherf****r where the home-runs at What the f**k you gonna do about that What the f**k you gonna do about that You gonna have to face the moment of truth You know what to do You gonna have to go and find the killer in you" I think the key section is this one.. "You gonna have to go and find the killer in you". I dont know if Durst still lives in florida or wherever he lives now.. but it sounds like its a song about standing one's ground. |

| By "extended family" I meant like the people they hang with in the business, like bands they tour with and so on. | |

I begin to wonder if this song is about an singer or band in the public eye. It comes off as rather personal.. The more I read the lyrics, the concept of the sellout, and the "Imitator" which just mimicks what Limp Bizkit does to achieve success instead of doing their own thing.. "Strange to see you've changed like the LB" "Freakin' me out you wear a mask called counterfeit, " "Could be identity crisis but I can't buy this. Reality bites but that's what life is " " I wonder what it's like to be a clone Doin' nothin, nothin' on my own Alone in your misery, you're bitin on my new style Filed as a counterfeit, going down in history as nothin but a copy cat (copy cat) " And most interesting to me is... "You've even stolen your appearance (stolen) from hangin out with my family" ...is "my family".. a reference to literally freds family, or is it the LB's extended family |

| Limp Bizkit – Bring It Back Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| yeah its pretty good. lyricwise it lacking.. alot of hype and the general "haters gonna hate"vibe from fred.. but the production and playing is solid. | |

I like this album alot. Like the production of the vocals towards the backing of the band. Wes' playing is great as always.. Many of the songs on Golden Cobra fall short.. its the usual "Im bad.. dont mess with me" and "haters gonna hate" stuff we're all too familiar with. Kinda a shame. The lyrical potential is showing but messagewise we hear what fred has been saying in most uptempo songs. What is interesting though is when fred goes emotional in those more relaxed songs where Wes plays more the clean channel and provides some interesting textures with his instrument. |
