@[Atreyurdabest:2619] Well, most of their song have this emo part. They always have good rhytm and than cut it with a slow part. In this song the lyrics that I consider the emo part are these : "So sorry you're not here I've been sane too long my vision's so unclear. Now take a trip with me but don't be surprised when things aren't what they seem." And for the record ... Atreyu is another emo band ... therefore you h8 emo's but not their music ... Pretty sure you'd like Bullet for my valentine ;) |

This song is about a friend or someone close to you who’s destroying his life abusing drugs. In the verses : “And it's not alright now You need to understand There's nothing strange about this You need to know your friends You need to know that I'll be wavin' my hand Watching you drown Watching you scream Quiet or loud” In this part, it is said to the drug addict that he needs help and need to know who to look up to, to ask for help because most of his so called friends will not notice that he needs help, or some might notice but will think it’s not their life and their choices so they will just act like nothing is happenning. “And maybe you should sleep” Not sleeping because always high on drugs “And maybe you just need, a friend As clumsy as you've been” Maybe what the drug addicts need is someone who made the same mistakes to understand him and know how to help him. “You will be safe in here You will be safe in here” Into rehab. “Throw away this very old shoelace It tripped you again” It represent anything the addict kept and used while getting high on drugs (could be a crack pipe or a set of needles or even a bong for a weed addict) that makes him want to get high again once he’s back from rehab. “Now you need to understand There's nothing fake about this You need to let me in” It says to the addict that he needs to get out of his dream world and realyze that he has a problem and open up to his friends so they can help him. Otherwise they will stand there watching him drown because they can’t help someone who doen’t want to. |
