We revenge thinking it's going to be hurting the person we hate the most, but in fact, it will only hurt us more.... and it can lead to a great deal of sadness, bitterness, disappointment, hurt, darkness... We need to forgive the offender, and especially forgive ourselves, realising that our choices aren't because of someone's fault. God is always waiting to forgive and loves us. It would be a sad thing if we didn't learn the lesson in this life. |

That's my favourite hymn! Years ago I took skydiving lessons. I have a fear of height, so this was the extreme! All I was thinking during the training was that I must have been mad to be doing this! The more I felt that way, the more I felt sick! When I finally decided to trust in the instructor and let go of my fear, I started getting stronger inside. It was a great experience! When I hear this song, it reminds me of my experience with skydiving. We trust in God that he loves us enough, and that he will fix things or let us see things in a new light. |

I met a group of people with parkinson's disease this weekend. They expressed how difficult it is for them to go through it... As they're fully aware of their difficulty, it makes it worse for them. Every day is a battle for them. I guess a lot of people go through their wilderness, and we all do in different ways. Life isn't always as we want it, and it's okay, we can still make the journey happier than it looks! |
