Judas Priest – Jawbreaker Lyrics 9 years ago
@[sokorny:9196] I understand. But as I said one can give it pretty much every interpretation after trying hard enough.

Maybe he really wants to be an astronaut: the snake is a metaphore for a rocket, the "ticking like a timebomb" the countdown and the last two paragraphs are about the lift-off.

Rob Halford once said in an interview that he put hidden innuendos in some songs, so now people is seeing sexual references everywhere

@[sokorny:9162] penises are usually not coiled...and apparently this poor guy has been ready to ejaculate for "years". I'm sorry for you if you crouch in a corner when you have an orgasm.

I suppose you can see everyting you want in a lyric if you try hard enough, that doesn't mean it's what the author meant.

...and Rob is apparently enjoying the fact that people is trying to find unexistant innuendos :D

To me it remains a song about a guy who has been passive all his life and eventually snaps, at least it has a meaning, unlike your interpretation which is "dick, snapped dick, getting ready to ejaculate, getting on the brink of ejaculation"

Cheers

I honestly can't see the sexual innuendo you guys are talking about, not without using all my imagination. I could understand the interpretation of the word "jawbreaker" but how do you explain: "And all the pressure that's been building up For all the years it bore the load"? Has him been waiting years for this blowjob? :D

I believe the meaning of the song is just about someone being passive and enduring in life and then snapping. It may or may be not related to Rob being a gay in the closet for decades.
I believe most of the lyric is quite self-explanatory, I was only puzzled by the "jawbreaker" word, but I'm inclined to accept chefgroovyon's explanation on that:
"Jawbreaker is referring to grinding your teeth at the pressures of life".

The fact that Rob said that many songs have innuendos doesn't mean you necessarily have to find them everywhere.
