| "Staring down the barrel of a 45" doesn't have to be interpreted literally... I always thought of it as boldly coming face to face with the changes life brought to you. He tried to avoid it for so long but he finally was able to face the pain he felt. It's a great song with a lot of emotion. | |

To me it seems as though he is talking to himself. "So do I remind you of someone you've never met?" He is wishing it could return to a state of happiness he never had, "someone you've never met", but "in a while now, I will feel better". He is battling something difficult on the inside and he feels that he is finally ready for a change; for his flower to bloom. He wants to discover his true self. It's just my interpretation and it's a little different than the other ones listed so I thought I'd share :) |
