Personally I think this song means that starting wars over eachother's varying opinions is meaningless. We should instead turn our gaze upwards and look towards the future of our species in its entirety. When humanity finds itself no longer alone in the universe, "will we open the the door" to understanding and peace? Or are we going to continue killing our own, and submit to a never-ending cycle? |

You know, my sister in law went on a rant about how the world is ending and Jesus will soon return to save all of the people that accepted and surrendered to their savior. I nodded and oooed and awed at her silliness, but this song makes makes me think about what she said next. She said that the ones left behind would live in constant corruptiom from Satan, and hope from the one and true God would be nonexistent. I find that funny though, because each time humanity has fallen, we've always got back up stronger than before. Each cycle of rising and falling empires entails the new strength of the next empire. So even if what she says is true (which I find highly improbable), humanity will still find a way to get back up. "We'll find a way, when all hope is gone!" |

I believe this song means to say, before you kill anything, make sure you know its intentions, and to never kill something simply for its difference. |

I think this song is about the tyranny that Christianity inflicted upon the polytheistic religions of old, and now according to the song, it is time for them to rise again. It is time for Christianity and their "Savior" to burn on the pyre, like they had done to the Old Gods. Love this song. |
