I think it's talking about the type of Christian who picks and chooses what parts he/she likes in the Bible and lives by those, that "they separate the product from its own account". By choosing to neglect part of God's word, they create a broken lifestyle, an incomplete one. The new lifestyle causes him/her so much anguish that their image of God has changed into someone that makes them struggle, a "lord of hate". "Now you bleed for the lord of hate that you stole from the pages of truth", perhaps this is the realization that he cannot simply take one idea and leave another, an undertone that you need to go all the way when it comes to Jesus and your relationship with Him. The final part is found where it says, "this war is a page unwritten, but we know how it ends" Once again, it suggests that the Bible has the whole story covered. "Take a step to the throne, convicted, choking back your amends". This is pretty much the nail in the coffin: After death, he/she is presented to the throne, and there they realized that how they thought was the right life: their rules, their goals, their compromises regarding the Word withheld them from the truth. Also, it is called "Fiction Kingdom": a place that this a person could make up and believe in so much that it clouds the real Kingdom they were striving for. |
