I don't know if that's what the song is about, but I always think about Esequiel Hernandez Jr, who was an 18 year old kid in Texas who was shot by the US Marines while he was herding goats, the line "Mother don't worry I killed the last snake that lived in the creek bed" since well, that's what he was doing when he was killed. |
