My interpretation of this song is that it's a guy who's in love with a girl, who is his best friend. I think that they are dating, personally, but he's travelling a lot, so they rarely get to see each other, hence the lyric "700 places, 700 faces". This girl is this guy's world. He loves her so much, and she knows him better than anything. I think this song sort of expresses his want to go away with her, which is why the song makes references to highways, cars, and different places. |
