| Of Mice & Men – The Storm Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| This song just breaks my heart. Poor Austin was clearly in so much pain. When in voice breaks I just start crying because this girl was able to take this really great man and break everything about him. Its my favorite song from the reissue. :D | |
| Bring Me the Horizon – Hospital For Souls Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
First off I would like to say that this is the first song I have ever herd of Bring Me the Horizon. This song literally made me sick to my stomach the first time I herd it. But not in a bad way this is one of those songs that just describes how you are feeling so well that you just break down and cry because it says everything you feel, and it actually makes your emotions real. For me (because of my own addictions and struggles) this song is about a person that struggles with freeing themselves from an addiction. For me it was self harm, bulimia, and depression, and this song fits that perfectly. The part where he says: How are we on a scale of one to ten? You can tell me, what do you say? Do you wanna talk about it? How does that make you feel? Have you ever took a blade to your wrists Have you've been skipping meals We're gonna try something new today How does that make you feel? This is my whole life I spent time in rehab and I was asked these questions on an hourly basis. I would always want to scream at them because all i have ever wanted was for someone to just give me a hug and tell me its going to be ok. So when the lyrics below came up I just about lost it. Hold me close, don't let go, watch me Hold me close, don't let go, watch me Hold me close, don't let go, watch me In this hospital for souls This song describes my addiction to a T. I have listened to this song hundreds of times and I still cry when I hear it. |

| Pierce the Veil – I'm Low On Gas And You Need A Jacket Lyrics | 12 years ago |

I’m Low On Gas and You Need a Jacket “I do a lot of writing while driving at night. During the time that I was at home writing lyrics for the album, I went on a few camping trips by myself along the coast. This song came to me while I was driving. It’s mostly wandering thoughts about my relationship with this girl back home. She sent me a blacked out drunk text once about some crazy party she was at, and it made me all over-protective and bitter that I wasn’t there. The title came from one of my favorite movies “Wayne’s World II.” - Vic I got this info from the link below so im not 100% sure if its correct :D http://rareptv.tumblr.com/cwts |

For me this song is about suicide/depression/addiction. I personally have spent years trying to break free from self harm and depression. I first heard this song while I had just gotten clean and it really spoke to my addictions. Will somebody believe this is suicide? Am I the only one that thinks that You should stay alive? I became the shame that you backed Up on the ropes to yourself and hide. And so I scream, "mayday I'm in trouble, send somebody on the double." Scratching at the floor inside my mind. As a person that was suicidal this stanza was very chilling. Some of these lines have been said to me in an effort for other people to help me. I never meant to hurt nobody. I never meant to hurt you. No, no, no. No, yeah. I only meant to do this to myself, To myself, to myself... This shows that the only person they were trying to hurt was themselves. Very rarely do addicts do it to hurt others. What I love the most about music is that its all open to interpretation. While for me this song is clearly about addiction, others may see it differently and I love that. |

| Sleeping with Sirens – You Kill Me (In a Good Way) Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
In my opinion this song is about self harm and suicide. the lines clean up any dirt so we can open up. These wounds have been open for forever now. Come on, be strong. Your mind has gotten the best of you. You've done enough and you are enough. Let's fall asleep tonight, I'll hold you close and show you you're not broken. speak to me because when I was self harming all i ever wanted was for someone to say these words to me. I think everyone can interpret songs in their own way even if it is different then why they were written. Thats why music is an art, because two people can hear the same song and think it means two completely different things :) |

| Pierce the Veil – Stay Away From My Friends Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| I love your interpretation! I always say that the best part of art is that everyone has a different way of seeing it. For you it may be about cutting and for Vic it could be a relationship. But music as with all art forms, the meaning can change between each person. Again I love this interpretation I agree with you! | |
| Pierce the Veil – Hold On Till May Lyrics | 12 years ago |

I know that Vic has done interviews explaining why he wrote this song but the beauty of art is there is more than one interpretation to everything. To me this song is about him telling the story of a girl who was suicidal and self harmed. Because of my own struggle with these issues when hear the lyrics... If I were you, I'd put that away See, you're just wasted And thinking about the past again Darling you'll be okay ...I can't help but think of self harm and that we should stop beating our self up about the past and that we will be ok. :) |
