For anyone who cares, I assume that this song, like the rest of the record (and its name) is kind of a conceptual thing about some 19-year-old kid who thinks that he's totally rad, and that a totally rad name for his record would be "Raditude" (and I'll put my fuckin' dog on it!").
This song should not be inspirational for anybody, it's making fun of teenage kids who think they'll be in love forever. She withheld sex from him so he said he was going to date other girls, and so she freaked out and went back to banging him and said she loved him, hahaha. Give me a break.
It's a really cool song, like a lot of the songs on the album, it's just not supposed to be taken so seriously. There's a song called "In The Mall", one about girls who got hot after being ugly before, and a fucking "rap" song called CANT STOP PARTYING (for real) featuring Lil Wayne who gives the most ridiculous slowed down insanely stupid verse about partying. It's all a cool joke, peeps. Weezer haven't "changed" so much as they're just doing different weird shit, I think. |

You're right. Ugh, I just internet stalked you, and I don't care if you're a Man or a woman, I'm in love with you based on the songs you're interested in, hahahaha |

This is a Loretta Lynn song, also covered pretty famously by The White Stripes, it's time for that Jack White/Neko Case collab already, right?
But seriously, God forbid Loretta Lynn ever dies, at least I'll be able to start calling Neko her "spiritual successor" or whatever. |

Just publicly being the first person I can find on the internet noting and bowing to the pure rock n' roll power in those harmonies. |

I've always wondered if there's some definitive answer as to whether the narrator is being dramatic about the end of the relationship or literally committing suicide...I hope it's the latter, which seems fucked up to say, but it just seems like the whole point of the song to me. |

Seems like no one wants to tackle this...but that's probably because it's self-explanatory as shit and talking about it on the internet is like arming a minefield full of gender-discussion-but-actually-arguments-bombs.
Great tune though, Neko's as much a man as I am for sure. |

I've always felt the "story" was sort of simple, narrator's family aren't worth being around, partly because they're high all the time. She tried to listen to the songs that say, "hold on," things get better, but she's either being used or misunderstood wherever she goes. Might as well pop a pill or two yourself because the only person willing to love some people seems to be the devil.
Anyone else envy people who've never found solace in any Satanic rituals? |

I'm just so sorry for everyone who identifies with this song and ends up here...there's no need for an "explanation", it's pretty explicit.
I just want to say that someone loves you I guess and it's not who you want, but you're still important. |
