For me this song is about moving on, ending a chapter and going forward with someone you love so much but that you have been having trouble with. Something is not right and with this song she or he is telling you that the problem, the issue, whatever that was holding her or him back is gone. All the fights and arguments are done, so let's just please forget all the things that we say. |

I think this song is about really loving someone, but not being able to be together at the moment because of distance. I think this is the person telling to the world how much this person is giving to it, how much it hurts not to be with the person that he or she wants. But the key is here: "Oooh, I want show me where it hurts, We'll make it OK Tell me that you'll stay Even when I'm far away" It's clear, they love each other, but can't be together 'cause of distance, but even though it hurts so much for the two of them, they are willing to fight, and it doesn't matter how much pain there is they both will be there to make it better for the other. For me it's about letting go of your fears to be with someone, your fears of commitment. When he says You and I were meant to be ain't no doubt about it he is saying everything, he is saying he knows that person is the right for him but that he is scared of the past, of all the pain from past relationships, scared of the lies and secrets and that's why he tells the person he wants the person to burn his bridges down, to just make all his doubts, all his fears go away. He is asking in this song to that person that seems to be the right one that he needs proves, he needs more than words, actions. |
