First of all I'd like to put out there that we can never truly know the meaning behind each word, as Anna Nalick does. I think that you can only make your own personal interpretation. My Interpretation: The song is more about surviving than the boy in it. In the song she's talking to a girl. But I think in a way she's also talking to herself. I think she's saying: You can't turn back the clock. Mistakes are made. Life goes on. "So cradle your head in your hands".....and breathe |

| I personally just think the song is about being totally free. I think for a long time she's ashamed of her nomadic ways and wants to settle down. But throughout the song she realizes that there are many different ways to experience life. Her way is to ride through it. | |
