Song is about those who manipulate others to do their dirty work for them. It's not the guy that makes speeches that gets a crowd riled up for his cause, but rather the guy that works in the shadows, spreading lies and whispers to get people to act the way he wants them to. He turns the crowd on the unsuspecting and then disappears with a smile on his face for the damage he's done with no risk to himself. He's a coward, and full of hate, which is why he's 'gonna go far, kid' (sarcasm). |
