My thoughts on these lyrics based on personal train of thought and the insight gained from all previous comments: "This is not a riddle but it's meant to entertain. I'll be your loyal Apostle, just send me in to take the blame. Well what would you expect to say? It never mattered anyway" Like the fellow mentioned, I think it is about Judas. The last 2 lines, in my mind, ask Jesus: "Well, you knew I was gonna do it. You could've stopped me. But you let me do it" Than itself describes the whole song as the contradiction mentioned in this abusive relationship. There'll be a site (sight) and an invisible light shown down on them and took them in There'll be a time when, Maybe tonight temptations win And I give in. Perhaps it means the moment of the crucifixion but that doesn't roll off too well with the lines about temptations and giving up Also it could mean how the apostles are described in the bible to have experiences about a shining light being Jesus as he takes them into their kingdom as their prophets This is not a puzzle or mainframe But it's meant to strengthen your faith Might explain what hardships in life are. Which are two things. One is that they're not to figure out, we as humans have not had one problem without an exit. There's always an exit. Life uh, finds a way whether you're ready to move on with it or not. Having the acknowledgement that life will be in fact difficult, there is this feeling of "everything is going to be alright" which can also be described as having faith in something. So we're meant to grow out of our puzzles in life and know that it will only strengthen our confidence for a better future And each time the night falls upon us We always end up the same, Were we not born into original sin? What you ask for is what you get and what you were given So fold your hands and get down on your knees Everytime shit happens It's always going to be okay We were born as sinners You asked to use Free-Will Mode. And this is why things are the way they are But let's hope we're gonna be alright, you do too, right? |
