I failed surgery in my medical finals in Dublin, everyone else I knew passed and every 5 minutes people called to celebrate. I felt at my lowest. I played this song on constant repeat. I was thinking of throwing myself into the Liffey. My sister called and said "Pack your things, I am taking you home". I played this song and sat there in a daze till she got there. This song got me through my worst day. I repeated my surgery and qualified 6 months after everyone else, it all seemed so important at the time. Passing was Everythng, that day I realised it wasn't, that God, Family and Love are all so much more. |
