| Also this tune was written when there were some huge IRA bombings in England at the time so it was deffently not anti British inspired. It was having a dig at the IRA. i am surprised people are so dopey, yes first of all its about the troubles. "But you see it's not me It's not my family In your head in your head They are fighting " part of the song is about denial, its about no one taking responsibilities for the bombings etc. you see a good working class catholic or protestant mother will never admit it was her son that was involved in terrorist activity.This tune defiantly comes from a womans point of view. This tune is no way anti British. The song coming from a Limerick girl is clearly anti IRA and good on her. |

Its about death and thats the simple matter of things, you can hear it in the piano piece itself, the slow part has a depressing dying tone to it where else the fast bit has a sense of life racing on by untill back to the slow dying sad final piano tune again. Thats why this bit of music itself without the lyrics is used in so many programs when somone dies at the end. And the lyrics are about death aswell. Until it disappeared From me From you And now, it's time to leave and turn to dust Everything rots and turns to dust him,her even the house of stone eventually disappers with time. Its a depressing song about how sad and depressing life really is because life is so quick where else death is forever. |
