Well, the song is about police heavy-handedness/brutality. The main chorus calls them "robots" because a lot of cops are just stingy guys who are liable to stop you/treat like you're doing something wrong just to see if they can get something to do. No feelings, just apprehension. |

The song's lyrics reminded me of Bourgeois Shangri-La. Except instead of criticizing our need to "keep up with the Joneses" this song discusses the rat-race and our idea of the American Dream-versus the harsh truth of the American Reality. (And I'm sure the whole "9-5 job that I hate" is prevalent in other countries!) In the song, WEP talked about a guy who moves into the big city and quickly realizes that its not all it's cracked up to be.
