I think this song is about a girl and a guy that have know each other for awhile. There was a chance of a blossoming relationship (whether they were actually dating or it was leading that way) and then something or someone came in-between them. Most likely it didn't work out with someone new, because the thought of the other keeps creeping up in their mind. Every time he/she tries to shake the feelings of the other, it never actually goes away and instead builds up, builds up. Pondering if he/she is or would be still interested. And the title says it all, that it's an internal battle of whether or not it's something worth pursuing. Either way their at a disadvantage, because they would be the ones "crawling back" or having these feelings weighing them down. Going through something similar right now, and I've just been re-playing this song like crazy...and yes it definitely is a tune that gets you hot and bothered as well lol. |
