This song is about a young soldier believing all the propaganda his country gave him and like many people of the time went off to join the war, even though he was only 16 at the time he was eager to go to war. The soldiers were promised that if they won the war they would live in a land fit for heroes (although it wasnt like that but i wont go into it) which is where that line comes from. The Hun is the term often used then to describe the german army. i imagine the battle he is talking about is the battle of the Somme which took place in 1916 and thousands of British troops lost their lives as they went over the top and got cut down by enemy fire.

I read somewhere that Maynard was abused as a child although this is argued by many people, its no secret that he is against child abuse though. When he says "my lamb and martyr" refering to the one being fucked it could be him showing partly what he thinks of people dieing for their religion, they are getting fucked. i think there is some deeper meaning to it like Almighty ruler was talking about, its a Tool song so its a wise asumption that you do need to go a bit below the surface to find the true meaning. i think the title "prison sex" is meant to refer to the "cage" that these people are locked in and it is very hard for them to escape from. |

its good that he has done this himself, i dont think its a complete work of art as its not really my bag. But hats off for him to have come back after popstars. Trouble is though he goes round holding this guitar all through the video and all he does is play part of the chorus and it really when artists do that (avril lavinge, gareth gates) if u do play a small bit in the chorus then just pick your guitar up then dont advertise it for the world to see. Also i have to agree with Merce he wont be round for much longer than a year because by then we will have the popstars rivals, the american idol then after that we will have popstars juniors then pop tarts then... you get my point. I could cope withy one of those pop things thats a good idea but for gods sake how many do we have now, is it really needed, there are bands that go round playing every pub and low down slum in the country before getting any recognition after about 7 years and then some plucky teenager comes along and is famous in 5 weeks but then again thats just pop for you. |

This is another slab of pure in flames magic. They are one of the few bands that seem to get a sort of melody and energy into their music and still remain shaggadellically heavy. They churn out stuff like this yet they are still crimminally underrated, why was it that i hadnt heard of them until i saw them supporting slipknot, u ask anyone who has heard of them their opinion and you will get a positive response i gurantee.

this song is nowhere near as good as some of his other stuff like stan, the way i am and rock bottom. this is just another of his beef myself up songs. its what annoys me so much about rap today, its all nigga's guns n bums. The video in this is funny though and he makes a good point when he compares himself to elvis coz they are both white boys who were poor and grew up to be huge in black dominated music. but do we really need another "real slim shady" song? coz basically look at it thats practically what it is, yes they are slightly different but the overall vibe of it is "im eminem im really cool". Also i dont think he is the best song writer ever, im not just saying that because he says fuck and is proud of it but purely coz for me a good songwriter issomeone who demands more than three minutes of your time, one that makes you think and divulge into their lyrics i.e. Tool, R.A.T.M. etc.

i dont really know the meaning of this song but i havent really delved into the depths of this one, it is just a soaring masterpiece, an epic, a true masterpiece and the guitar solo by page at the end is my favourite ever, i also wonder how on earth blink 182 fuck a dog has a higher rating than this. i have about 4 or 5 different versions of this on my computer, i am ashamed to say i have the butchered rolf harris version but the jimi hendrix version is very good and its interesting that he leaves the solo for a trumpet or similar instrument instead of playing it himself |

actually i believe they are a highly talented, smart, intelligent group of youngsters who deserve all the success handed to them on a silver plate. I also believe they are not being exploited by simon fuller as part of his bid to take over the music industry or that their success is any way related to their good friends s club 7 and that they will be around for many years and will stay away from drugs etc. and live clean lives and will never resort to doing any appearenes or pop years or any similar program to get some cash coming in and remind people who they were. i also believe they will always be proud that they were an s club junior.
