| Tanita Tikaram – Twist In My Sobriety Lyrics | 12 years ago |

There are few things come to my mind every time I listen to this song. I understand that we all see what we have on our minds and it is hard to be off of it. Some alchoholism, some prostituion, some her interview that she meant one night stand. I'd rather go line by line, so it will be easier for me to put all the puzzles together. ll God's children need traveling shoes Drive your problems from here - Probably she was abused by priest or her father (military) All good people read good books Now your conscience is clear - Well Catholicism let all sin goes away by admitting your sins. I hear you talk girl - That’s either her “dark” side or her “dad/priest” talking to her. Now your conscience is clear In the morning I wipe my brow Wipe the miles away - Obviously she’s going through sleepless nights thinking about abuse. I like to think I can be so willed And never do what you say - Again talking about authority (dads/priest) I'll never hear you And never do what you say Look my eyes are just holograms - She just a hologram or part of a worldwide female abuse Look your love has drawn red from my hands - She probably got attempts of committing suicide, From my hands you know you'll never be More than twist in my sobriety She promises herself to be sober about that in her own relationships with the men and will teach her son don’t be an abuser. (From my hands you know you'll never be). That’s how probably priest/dads explaining it to her (like it’s not a big deal): We just poked a little pie For the fun people had at night Late at night don't need hostility The timid smile and pause to free She’s trying to switch her mind off the problems by thinking “different thoughts” and referencing to other abused kids. I don't care about their different thoughts Different thoughts are good for me Up in arms and chaste and whole All God's children took their toll She’s thinking to open up about the problem, hoping that they will resolve on their own: “You pig out 'til you've seen the light”. Cup of tea, take time to think, yea Time to risk a life, a life, a life Sweet and handsome Soft and porky You pig out 'til you've seen the light Pig out 'til you've seen the light Failing to go open about it, she starts talking dirty about “people and society”, because they’re simply don’t care. Or at best see things as a “news to sell”. Half the people read the papers Read them good and well Pretty people, nervous people People have got to sell News you have to sell. |

| Foals – Moon Lyrics | 12 years ago |

end of life, when everything become irrelevant and not important. Very last moments before last breath. Foals just nailed it. Border between two worlds, colors changing from black grey and red to white and perfect. Just how it should be. Got little hint of the fear of being alone in refferences to the bride's dress and feelings of the lost home, but it's more like accepting it and moving on. How deep and sincere! |
