personally, i think this has nothing to do with the bible. i dont mean to be offensive, but some people look to deep for an explanation that lies just beneath the surface. sure, there is a fair amount of metaphors, but that doesn't mean their meaning can't be taken pretty literally. that happened with the Beatles' song "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds"...people then thought that the song represented the euphoric effects of the ever-popular hallucinogen LSD (get it? Lucy,Sky,Diamonds??? LSD.) when in reality, lennon's inspiration was a picture his son drew, who entitled it, "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds". |
