An intense and awesome song with some seriously sophisticated lyrics. I believe that Plant was quite interested in ‘Lord Of The Rings’ type fantasy and mythology although some previous remarks suggesting symbolic references to various misfortunes having plagued the band’s career (e.g. the death of plant’s son etc) are very thought provoking. The song is otherwise a prime example of synthesizers used effectively in a heavy rock song but it should also be mentioned that if you strip away the keyboards there are some pretty badass guitar chords and riffs in there!. |

Great early 80's metal track BTW. A straightforward song in which the protagonist makes it clear to a girl that he has no intention of romantic commitment or relationship but rather that the meaning of 'love' to him is only getting sexual gratification, and he expects her to satisfy him (i.e. 'deliver' a good f**k) before he moves on. |

As well as this being one excellent, classic and unique hard rock band with a very unique sound, This particular song describes my philosophy of life exactly:
My peace of mind is in that I keep my life simple, I try to minimize my debts and other unnecessary complications, I’ve got NOTHING to prove to anybody, no interest in the rat race (i.e. ‘climbing company ladders’), being ‘better than’ or 'having more' than the next guy etc. etc.. That’s all utter nonsense that everybody is conditioned to grow up believing. Fortunately I have a job I do enjoy I don’t kiss a**. I do what I'm good at and enjoy. In other words I just live my life for myself, and my loved ones of course.
