Heh, this song is a incarnation of Alex Harvey... Just listen for example "Hear a man preaching in a language that's completely new" and "a bellhop hops and bops" and you can hear Alex himself !
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that AH has been one of the biggest influences for Nick Caves music, but I haven't heard it this clearly in the earlier production. |

About the funerals... "Cave performed the song (Into My Arms) at the funeral of his friend, INXS singer Michael Hutchence, but requested the cameras recording the service be switched off as he performed".
So this song has many meanings, but for me this is also very sad song. |

Can someone tell me (hopefully thestaggerlee him self), what is the right word on "Every time you come around" the word "come". Everywhere it's printed "come", but it definitely can't be the right word, unless there's a very strange way to pronounce it ? Thank You.

More trivia... When I first heard this song, I also heard "Hannibal calling". The phonecall and other spoken parts in "Silence" and "Reconing Night" are made by guy called Nik Van-Eckmann - From South Africa, if I remember right. |

Ok, some of you had thoghts about "I sat in your coalmine" This is what Tony Kakko told me couple of years ago, when I asked him what the hell it means (translated from finnish language): "You can undestand coalmine as a dark place. In this case it means dark places of a human mind. It points to a deep depression, because you can't understand what is going on in your beloved ones mind". |
